Guidelines for Blogging

Hello everyone! Welcome to the We're Booking It blog! From what I've heard, we are ready to starting talking about the first book: Stealing Buddha's Dinner. I've also heard that both Lanier and Purdue students are really excited to get to interact with each other and have some great discussions! Since we are all students, there are a few guidelines and suggestions we need to take into account in order to be considerate and respectful throughout this blog. Each posted blog will be moderated by 2 Purdue students, but if we miss something that is inappropriate, please let me know right away! Here are a few guidelines and suggestions for beginning discussion:

• Keep everything appropriate. Please refrain from using profanity and from discouraging ideas others have.
• Adding on or saying something like "I see that you thought this about ___ passage, but this is what I saw..." is perfectly fine!
• Refrain from discussing personal matters in this blog; this is a BOOK discussion
• BUT if you feel like you can empathize with (or relate to) a character or a part of the story, it is fine to talk about that.
• Share your opinion!
• Pick out passages that stick out to you and talk about them
• Ask questions whether about a word or phrase or other blogger's opinions.
• Most importantly: Please remember that the things you write can be seen by everyone else included in the blog.
